Golf course owners and facility managers know that smooth, dark, and glossy cart paths help the property feel as elite as the greens. When you stay on top of golf course asphalt paving and basic maintenance, members feel the difference from the parking lot to the last hole, and you avoid surprise replacement bills later.

Asphalt Kingdom has worked with golf course maintenance managers across North America who were tired of searching for reliable paving contractors for golf courses at a fair price. Many discovered that they could bring a big part of their asphalt program in-house, using our equipment, training, and support to control budgets and quality.

Read the success stories below, then contact us to talk through your own project.

Rich Harvest Farms Golf Course

Rich Harvest Farms Golf in Sugar Grove, Illinois, is ranked in Golf Digest’s Top 100 list. Maintenance manager Roger Smith struggled to find contractors who could deliver the cart path quality he wanted. One quote to seal and protect the pavement came in much higher than expected, so he went online to research other golf course asphalt paving options.

After finding Asphalt Kingdom’s website, Roger took our free asphalt maintenance courses for property owners and realized his four-person crew could handle much of the work themselves. He called our toll-free helpline, received clear equipment recommendations, a same-day quote, and ongoing phone support for every question that came up in the field.

When edging cart paths without overspray became a challenge, he called again and got step by step instructions. With the right plan and tools, his team completed sealcoating on the paths and is now preparing to tackle parking areas and line striping next.

Weddington Golf & Tennis Success Story

Tennis Club

In Studio City, California, George MacAllister manages a busy golf and tennis club with 16 tennis courts, a 24-stall driving range, and a 9-hole course. The large parking lot takes a beating from rain and daily traffic. When he called a contractor to look at the lot, the quote for repairs and sealcoating was very high, even compared to typical golf course asphalt paving bids.

George found Asphalt Kingdom online and enrolled in our free courses to see whether his staff could handle more of the work. After watching the videos, he saw that his crew could clean, crack fill, and sealcoat the asphalt for a fraction of the contractor price. For about the cost of one outsourced project, he could purchase a crack fill machine and an asphalt spray system and keep the savings on every future job.

The work turned out to be easier than expected. As George put it, the RY10 Crackfill Melter Applicator “saved our asphalt parking lot’s life” and helped him avoid a full replacement.

Golf Course Pavement Maintenance That Protects Looks, Lifespan, And Liability

Fresh sealcoat on cart paths and parking areas makes your club look as manicured as the greens. The same way you repair divots to protect turf, regular golf course asphalt paving maintenance protects your base, reduces trip hazards, and extends pavement life from about 10 years to as much as 25 to 30 years with consistent care.

Think of the “Three L’s”:

  • Looks. A smooth, deep black surface makes your course feel premium from the parking lot onward.
  • Lifespan. Proper crack filling and sealcoating keep water and UV from breaking down the asphalt foundation.
  • Liability. Well maintained surfaces reduce potholes and uneven spots that can cause trips, falls, or cart damage.

Asphalt oxidizes and becomes brittle over time. Sealing every two years renews the surface and creates a protective layer that resists water, fuel spills, and daily traffic from carts and service vehicles. Many paving contractors for golf courses use this same schedule on their managed properties.

A simple five step process works well for most golf facilities:

  1. Clean the surface. Sweep thoroughly and treat stains with a degreaser cleaner.
  2. Fill cracks. Use hot rubber crack filler from the crack fill store to block water from reaching the base.
  3. Apply sealer. For larger golf properties, invest in a spray system instead of only using squeegees. Pair it with airport grade driveway sealer.
  4. Protect the area while it cures. Use pylons and caution tape to keep carts and vehicles off the surface.
  5. Add a second coat if needed. Two thin coats perform better than one heavy coat, especially if maintenance has been delayed.
